Bernards Furniture Group Adds 60% More Space to High Point Showroom
New Site at Newly Renovated “Atrium” will be 27,758 Square Feet & Showcase a Full Assortment of Products
HIGH POINT, N.C. April 22, 2017 – Bernards Furniture Group has relocated its showroom to the newly renovated Atrium on Main, located at 430 S. Main Street, just in time for the April High Point Market. The expanded space will allow the Greensboro, N.C.-based case goods manufacturer additional room to display its growing portfolio of products and enhance its customers’ shopping experiences through strategic merchandising and new buyer amenities.
Designed with buyers in mind, the move to the new 27,758 square foot showroom enlarges the space by 60 percent, allowing Bernards to display – for the first time – its full assortment of master and youth bedrooms as well its entire assortment of dining products which include promotional casual dining sets and formal dining collections with coordinating serving pieces. In addition, 5,000 square feet of the showroom will be dedicated exclusively to showcasing 24 new, three-pack occasional table collections, in addition to existing occasional groups.
The additional space also provides room for new buyer amenities including a marketing resource area with product catalogs, closeouts and market specials as well as an inviting lounge, serving catered breakfast and lunch daily, plus evening cocktails.
“We are very excited about this move, not only because of the additional showroom space it provides for our new products and buyer amenities, but for the additional hospitality the Atrium will offer to our dealers,” said Daniel Lim, president of Bernards and CEO of the Lim family companies.
Owned by the Lim family companies, the Atrium on Main has undergone a transformation since being acquired in 2016. Renovations include a fresh new exterior and building signage plus the addition of a new gourmet coffee shop, which will be open to buyers throughout Market. A short walk from the heart of Market, additional amenities include a free shuttle service, a buyer lounge and a business center with free Wi-Fi access. Future renovations to the Atrium are underway that will attract buyers and new exhibitors alike.
Bernards will hold a ribbon cutting and grand opening party on Friday, April 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment. In addition, the company will offer dealers an opportunity to enter a drawing for a two-year lease on a new Mercedes-Benz. The winner will be selected following the conclusion of Market.
On Saturday, April 22 through Monday, April 24, the company will also host a cocktail hour from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. with entertainment, drinks and light hors d’oeuvres.
