Julie Browning Bova to Unveil Twenty New Designs for Spring 2012
Collection to debut at High Point Market this April in Stanford Furniture’s Showroom
Indianapolis, IN, March 28, 2012 – Julie Browning Bova, a well-respected interior designer, is slated to debut her 2012 Spring Collection for the “Julie Browning Bova Home Collection” at the High Point Market this April. Like popular earlier designs, Bova’s new pieces integrate an equestrian-inspired theme and utilize numerous, symbolic and stylish fabrics and colorways with sofas, chairs, benches and occasional tables. Together, with the launch of these new items, the Julie Browning Bova Home Collection boasts approximately 60 pieces. The 2012 Spring Collection, along with notable bestsellers from 2011, will be shown in Stanford Furniture’s High Point showroom, 435 North Wrenn Street, April 21 – 26, 2012. Stanford Furniture, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary during High Point, is a known producer of fine home furnishings and custom upholstery.
“This will be Julie’s third Market with us. Her collection, not unlike a fine diamond, is multi-faceted. The entire Julie Browning Bova Collection offers a very interesting mix,” says Randy Short, president of Stanford Furniture. “Although many pieces have traditional roots, many hav e been slightly altered to fit into more up-to-date interiors. Many of the pieces are tremendously ‘blendable’ with traditional items that people have acquired over the years."
“Modeling my collection after a subtle, but fashion-forward, equestrian theme has become a signature look of the Julie Browning Bova Home Collection,” says Bova. “In keeping with that tradition, for spring, I really wanted to incorporate new fabric textures and patterns in a fresh, transitional setting.” Opulent colors like turquoise, sage green and butter cream, mixed with terracotta, are blended with timeless patterns and paired with luxurious textures and leathers. This combination highlights the delicate modern, transitional twist to the new furniture pieces and adds to the warmth and elegance of the showroom.
“I am very excited about the cozy Hunt style look of our space, which even features an equestrian library boasting deep, richly painted walls and equestrian drapery.”
The popular Tac Ottomans, wood-based, leather upholstered accent pieces with a brass tack detail, will return from the initial launch and be shown in an exquisite emerald green.
A new Thistledown sectional, with casual tailoring and flange detailing, will be covered in an elegant washed textile and loaded with pillows, showcasing its perfect fit in any family or living room. Additionally, Bova will unveil the unique Morgan Sofa, a rich brown leather piece featuring a bench cushion on tapered legs.
“The Morgan Sofa is a handsome enhancement not just for our showroom, but any environment. To highlight the sofa’s versatility, we’ll be showing it in multiple ways, including a slipcover version in a vignette with the Julie Chairs,” says Bova.
Bova’s signature “Julie” chairs will be shown in a heavy floral mocha, cream and chartreuse tapestry, paired with fresh slipcovers of amazing washed textiles.
Providing the Spring 2012 Collection greater depth are eight new occasional table designs. As part of this series, Bova developed her first-ever card table and chairs, which is the “perfect design solution for a corner of any room that needs a tabletop and added seating.” In addition, the new Pacer table, an equestrian, cross-legged tray table is also featured. The occasional piece features a removable serving tray for the hostess who likes to entertain.
Part of Bova’s six latest chair debuts is the Wellington Wing Chair. The chair boasts a classic, fashion-inspired butterscotch plaid wool fabric, complete with an aesthetically pleasing geometric carved base. “This chair was inspired by an antique bench and I imagined it to be a real statement piece! I simply fell in love with the idea of open cut wood detailing and strong geometric lines. The chair is so sophisticated, yet it lends itself to be personalized,” says Bova.
Stanford Furniture offers all Sherwin Williams paint colors as a finish for the Wellington Wing Chair’s base, to customize it for endless décor possibilities. Upholstered in crisp white Sunbrella, the chair pops with bases in colorways such as Kelly green, Pantone’s color of the year, tangerine, a rich Moroccan-inspired color palate, plus much more.
“This diverse collection provides ‘clean traditional’ and equestrian themes, and also offers pieces that are quite transitional. Each piece flawlessly blends with the others to provide a very pleasing and unique presentation. We anticipate Julie Browning Bova’s 2012 spring collection to be well-received and successful for Stanford Furniture, much like her previous introductions” says Short.
As part of the new product launch, Bova will be on hand in the Stanford showroom, to meet and greet with show attendees beginning Friday, April 20.
In addition, during the High Point Market, Stanford Furniture will celebrate its 20th anniversary. In honor of this occasion, the company invites industry family, customers and media friends to a reception on Sunday, April 22nd at 6:00PM in the Stanford Furniture showroom (435 North Wrenn Street).
