New Moon Will Introduce 17 New Rug Designs at High Point Market

October 14, 2014 – New Moon, luxury rug company, has a vast array of designs in its design catalouge from modern, traditional, and styles in­between. During the fall High Point market (October 18­23, 2014), New Moon will debut 17 new rug designs and colorations.

“We design what inspires us, but we also keep our ear to the ground and listen to what our clients and dealers seek in current home design,” says Josephine Kurtz, Artistic Director of New Moon Rugs.

Market visitors are invited to explore New Moon’s debut pillow line at The Suites At Market Square, Booth G­2034. New Moon will host a, “Watch and Wine,” event Saturday, October 18, from 5­7pm ­ a time to chat with designers about new products and enjoy wine and snacks.

New Moon wants to continue the momentum with the home décor industry recognizing its commitment to quality and design, as it comes off the “Best Modern Design Superior 2014” at DOMOTEX for its Peacock design.

New designs are as follows:

  • Bali, ice blue ­ This tribal inspired motif has a contemporary feel. The blue grey Tibetan wool background uses a special technique that layers darker and lighter tones to create a heathered effect. The design elements in Chinese silk use tones of icy aqua blue, tan, pewter and ivory.
  • Valhalla, tan/red ­ This 100% Tibetan wool modern design incorporates elements used in traditional Suzani textiles. It features a tan background with designs in rose red, chocolate brown, tangerine orange, light blue, pale green and butter yellow.
  • Regal, sea blue ­ This design has Spanish Colonial influence with its casual approach to elegance. The background of this rug is a soft heather blue Tibetan wool with the design in taupe Tibetan wool piped in ivory Chinese silk.
  • Regal, ivory/dusty jade ­ This design has Spanish Colonial influence with its casual approach to elegance. The background of this rug and the design are both a blend of Tibetan wool, Chinese silk and allo (a natural nettle fiber). The design elements are all highlighted with an outline in Chinese silk. The background is an all natural, undyed blend featuring varying shades of ivory with beige allo flecks shining through. The design elements utilize a dusty jade coloration.
  • Sultana, polonaise ­ A bold new graphic take on a traditional Sultanabad pattern. This classic polonaise coloration is given a fresh pop of vibrant colors featuring a tan Tibetan wool background that has a special dying technique to give subtle color variations. The design elements utilize Chinese silk in cobalt blue,tangerine, citron green, yellow, tan and ivory.
  • Rococco, ocean mist ­ This design is a contemporary twist on a traditional Hispano­Moresque style. It features a Tibetan wool background and a Chinese silk design. Utilizing a mottled­green/blue background with a sage green, citron and mint green design.
  • LW80B, natural ­ With an African inspired geometric pattern, this design features undyed, all­natural Tibetan sheep’s wool in varying tones of grey, brown and ivory.
  • LW19M, natural ­ Featuring undyed, all­natural Tibetan sheep’s wool in varying tones of ivory, grey and brown.
  • LW77B, natural ­ With an African inspired geometric pattern, this design features undyed, all­natural Tibetan sheep’s wool in varying tones of ivory, grey and brown.
  • LW77A, grey ­ With an African inspired geometric pattern, this design features undyed, all­natural Tibetan sheep’s wool in varying tones of grey and brown.
  • LW76A, oatmeal/brown ­ With an African inspired geometric pattern, this design features undyed, all­natural Tibetan sheep’s wool in varying tones of heather grey and brown.
  • LW72C, natural ­ With an African inspired geometric pattern, this design features undyed, all­natural Tibetan sheep’s wool in varying tones of ivory, grey and brown.
  • LW41C, natural ­ Featuring undyed, all­natural Tibetan sheep’s wool in varying tones of ivory, grey and brown.
  • LW78B, charcoal ­ With a tribal inspired geometric pattern, this design features undyed, all­natural Tibetan sheep’s wool in varying tones of ivory, grey and brown.
  • LW79A, natural ­ This African inspired geometric pattern utilizes 100% Tibetan wool. It features a beige background with an undyed, all­natural design in ivory and light grey.
  • LW81A, natural ­ With an African inspired geometric pattern, this design features undyed, all­natural Tibetan sheep’s wool in varying tones of ivory, grey and brown.
  • LW78A, turquoise ­ This tribal inspired design features 100% Tibetan wool. It features varying shades of turquoise, paprika, orange, ivory, grey and tan.
