The word “sobremesa” literally means “over the table” and captures the Spaniards’ art of savoring the conversation and company of others after a meal. Sobremesa by Greenheart launched in 2012 after Greenheart saw the need for high end, sustainable tableware that supports artisans with both a fair wage and healthy working conditions.
“We have experienced a very positive response to our products and mission since our launch,” says Mary Brooks, National Sales Manager. “We are excited to share our products with buyers at High Point for the first time.”

About Sobremesa by Greenheart
The word “sobremesa” literally means “over the table” and captures the Spaniards’ art of savoring the conversation and company of others after a meal. Sobremesa by Greenheart is based on Greenheart’s social and environmental initiative for global change. Greenheart’s social enterprise, The Greenheart Shop, has been providing individual consumers with eco-fair trade products since 2007. After years of retail experience, Greenheart saw the need for high end, sustainable tableware that supports artisans with both a fair wage and healthy working conditions. Sobremesa’s artistic array of ceramics, wood, glass and textiles from 4 countries and 9 artisan communities was created for the buyer who appreciates design with a conscious.
